Sharon has over 20 years of lived experience of mental health following the birth of her daughter. She has accessed both inpatient and secondary care mental health services. She has seen first hand the good and poor quality of services that people are able to access.

Due to the lack of support Sharon was informed about during her personal challenges, she is now passionate about ensuring people have access to information and resources.

Keiras' first experience of poor mental health during the pandemic and was referred to the CAHMS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. When accessing the service, she experienced numerous problems with cancelled appointments, staff retention, which contributed to delays in her mental health improving.

Keira is passionate about wanting to improve services for all young people, so they don't have to go through the same journey she did.
